We moved from Austria to Portugal. I made a request on Sirelo and received offers from several moving companies. I could decrease the circle of potential moving companies very quickly. Some of them didn’t answer my questions, others were just too expensive.
Only TRIV International Moving & Storage answered my questions quickly and offered a good price. They arrived on time and loaded everything quickly and neatly. They moved my belongings to Portugal in a clearly defined time frame. All items were in excellent condition, neither dented, nor broken. Unloading was done quickly and accurately! This was the best move.
After having requested offers through Sirelo, I received multiple moving quotes. As already mentioned, the choice to go with TRIV was pretty easy.
Some carriers still write to me, although we have already moved about two months ago. This determines the good work of TRIV, they are customer-oriented. The director of the company always answered my questions immediately. This is rare in Austria, where you can wait weeks for a response to a letter.
Take us through your moving day – did everything go as planned? What worked and what didn’t?
On the day of the move, the moving vehicle with two employees arrived exactly at 9 am as planned. The movers went into the apartment, assessed the amount of my belongings and started loading.
They brought boxes, film and blankets for household appliances. The washing machine and refrigerator were packed in a blanket, film and cardboard and then in film. On a special cart, the equipment was carefully taken out into the street and loaded.
We have very narrow corridors, but the staff took everything out without leaving a scratch. All boxes and other cargoes were quickly loaded. Everything was disassembled, packed and loaded in no more than one and a half hours.
Based on your experience, what are your top tips you’d like to share to help others for their own moves?
✅ You need to look for a moving company in advance for moving, as not all companies respond quickly or do not respond at all.
✅ Calculate how much belongings you have in cubic meters. It always seems that there are fewer things and furniture than there really are. Some companies assemble and pack things themselves, but you can also assemble the boxes yourself – this will significantly reduce the volume and price.
✅ Buy strong boxes, but not huge ones. Better than a smaller volume, they will not be too heavy. It is better to seal the boxes and wrap them with foil. They will be stronger and keep their shape. You can buy a polypropylene protective edge for furniture and fragile items.
✅ Pack ahead of time, it takes more burden than you think.
It would be the fastest and most peaceful move. I recommend moving with TRIV!
