Why did you decide to move to Spain?

The move from the Netherlands to Spain was due to work and life reasons.

The experience has been great, clear and fast communication always and very flexible service with a very reasonable cost. Koen from Excess Baggage shipping loaded every single box very carefully to keep all the boxes safe and the proof of that is that I have received all boxes without any damage.

In addition, the company has offered the service to keep the goods in stock in a warehouse for a few days until I was able to receive the boxes at my destination.

What about the moving day, did everything go as planned?

Everything went according to plan. The moving company arrived on time on the day requested and Koen came well prepared to pick up the boxes. It was all done very effectively and carefully loaded everything on the van to ensure the boxes were not damaged.

There is nothing I could say that did not work. Koen explained me very clearly all the process and the next steps before leaving. Also in the next few days he kept informing me about the status of the move and in the end, everything went according to plan.

If you had to give some advice to others moving to Spain, what would it be?

My tip is to make sure that everything that is in the offer is well understood and that you have clear what is what you need and what are the things that you do not need, both to pick up the goods in origin as well as the delivery in the destination.

It is also important to inform as good as possible about the conditions of your house/flat (whether parking is available close or not, if there is elevator if there are some stairs somewhere, if there are many doors to cross, etc). This will avoid any misunderstanding.
