The reason for moving was that I will start studying in Innsbruck, Austria in March. The experience was great and overall way better than expected. The communication with Judotrans was exceptionally good because you always get a response within 10 minutes. That was also part of the reason why I went with them because they were the first ones who immediately contacted me after I put out the request on Sirelo. I think I got an email within 2 minutes or so. Furthermore, they offered the best price of all the offers I got. The moving itself went really smooth and seamless. Judotrans works very professional and the driver/helper was extremely friendly and could speak perfect English which I didn’t expect.

So first of all they were the first ones who messaged me (literally within 2 minutes after I put out the request on Sirelo). Then it was uncomplicated to get an offer, I simply sent them videos and photos of all our stuff and quickly received an offer. I had a good feeling about the company from the beginning. It seemed simple but efficient. Then I did some more research of course and saw they had very good reviews. And then finally, what made me choose them was that all the other offers I received were way more expensive so I went with Judotrans.

Everything went as planned. It was said the truck arrives between 9:00 and 11:00 and it was there at 8:45. The driver/helper was young, very friendly and could speak perfect English which made it easy to communicate with him. He worked very efficiently and we managed to load in all of our stuff within 2 hours, which was way quicker and easier than I expected.

The truck left and we stayed the night in a hotel near by. Then the next morning we packed in our bunnies in the car and also left to Innsbruck. After 10 hours (including breaks) we arrived at our new apartment and got the keys. While we got the keys the truck already arrived at the exact time we agreed on. The loading off took this time 3 hours since the new apartment is on the 7th floor but everything went smooth and seamless again. All our stuff was still there and nothing got damaged. So everything worked out perfect and there is nothing that didn’t.

My top tips would be to plan everything well beforehand and start packing early enough (we only started 10 days before which turned out to be a bit too little time and made it very stressful.) As part of preparation, I would also recommend to buy enough moving boxes but also lots of tape, wrapping foil, wrapping paper, etc. Better too much than too little.

To protect your stuff good and avoid that anything gets damaged. Moreover, it’s important to do thorough research on what has to be all done for the moving as well as on the moving companies and also compare multiple options instead of just going with the first one.
